Teacher Andy - Early Storyboards

Andy is a teacher in a British private kindergarten. She is subjected to various forms of stress on a daily basis: the precariousness of her job, suburban life always in a hurry, and last but not least the pestiferous children in her class, combined with their perfect middle-class mothers. The sum of these forces soon brings Teacher Andy close to a breakdown when Edo, a “difficult child” in her class, hides at school. Andy finds him locked in a basket with a strange toy: a METROGNOME, a gnome-shaped metronome. This bizarre object, which repeatedly calls out to her in a chilling whisper, will make its way into the classroom and, with its hypnotising ticking, will grant a dark power to Teacher Andy. Through the control of her children, the teacher will be able to obtain small revenges against the causes of her daily frustration, but her power will exceed her control, soon taking over her unconscious desires and threatening the whole school.
